Setup guides · 2026
Every device takes the same two inputs: a player app and the M3U link or Xtream codes from your activation email. What changes is where you install the app and which menu hides the login box. These guides cover Firestick, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Android, iOS, MAG boxes, Windows and Mac — plus the three players worth using and fixes for the errors we see most.
Step zero
Five minutes of preparation removes most of the errors people hit halfway through a setup.
Amazon Fire TV
The most common IPTV device and the quickest to set up: you need the remote, your Amazon account and the activation email.
Search the Fire TV Appstore for TiviMate or IPTV Smarters and install whichever appears.
If your player is not in the store, allow unknown sources for the Downloader app, then fetch the official APK.
Open the player, choose Add playlist or Xtream Codes login, and paste the M3U link or the username, password and server URL.
The list and guide import in a couple of minutes. Pin your favourites and you are done.
Smart TVs
Smart TV apps are the tidiest setup — no extra box, no extra remote — but catalogues differ by model year, so check what your TV offers first.
Open the Samsung Apps store and search for IPTV Smarters or a compatible player. Install, launch, choose Xtream Codes or M3U and enter the details from your email. If an older model offers no player, a Firestick on HDMI is the simplest upgrade.
Open the LG Content Store, install IPTV Smarters, launch it and enter your playlist details. If your model lists no player, mirror from a phone or add a Firestick.
Both stores change their catalogues regularly. If the app is unavailable in your region, support will name the player that works on your model — or the Firestick route, which fits any TV with HDMI.
Phones & tablets
Mobile installs are the easiest of all: the players are in the stores and the same login follows you between devices. Set-top boxes and computers take a different route.
Install IPTV Smarters or TiviMate from Google Play, open Add Playlist and paste the M3U link or Xtream codes. Chromecast sends it to a TV.
Install IPTV Smarters from the App Store, choose Xtream Codes API and enter the credentials. AirPlay sends the stream to an Apple TV.
On an Nvidia Shield or generic Android TV box, install TiviMate from the Play Store — it is built for remotes and its EPG grid is the closest thing to a satellite planner.
MAG boxes do not use an app store; they point at a portal URL. Open Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals, enter the portal address from your email, save and reboot. Authentication is tied to the box’s MAC address, so a replacement box needs the new MAC added by support.
Install a player such as IPTV Smarters or use a browser-based player, then add the M3U link or Xtream codes. A wired desktop is the fastest way to test whether buffering is your Wi-Fi or the feed: if Ethernet plays smoothly, the stream is healthy. Diagnosing 4K buffering →
Player apps
The app decides how the service feels day to day: guide layout, switching speed and how easy favourites are to reach.
| App | Best for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| TiviMate | Firestick, Fire TV, Android TV | Best-in-class EPG grid, fast channel switching and remote-friendly menus |
| IPTV Smarters | Phones, tablets, Smart TVs | Simplest Xtream Codes login and the widest device availability |
| Perfect Player | Older or low-power hardware | Very light, loads large M3U lists without stuttering |
All three accept the same credentials, so you can move between them freely: TiviMate for a TV, Smarters for a phone. The feature list shows what the EPG should look like once it loads.
Troubleshooting
These cover most setup contacts, and each fix takes under two minutes.
| Symptom | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid username or password” | Typo or trailing space | Paste the credentials from the email; they are case sensitive |
| Channel list loads, nothing plays | Feed unavailable or app cache | Try another channel, clear the app cache, restart the device |
| Buffering on one device | Weak Wi-Fi or full storage | Use 5 GHz or Ethernet, free up space, lower the stream quality |
| No EPG data | Guide not yet imported | Refresh the EPG in settings and wait a few minutes |
| Second screen stops playing | One connection in use | Close the other stream or add a connection on the multi-screen plan |
FAQ
Install a player app supported by your device, then enter the M3U link or Xtream codes from your activation email. The walkthroughs above cover Firestick, Smart TVs, Android, iOS, MAG, Windows and Mac.
The activation email, a supported device, about 10 Mbps of stable internet for HD (25 Mbps for 4K), the player app and a few hundred MB of free storage. The free trial gives you credentials to practise with.
TiviMate for Firestick and Android TV, IPTV Smarters for phones and Smart TVs, Perfect Player for older hardware. All three load the same M3U link and Xtream codes.
Usually a typing issue: Xtream credentials are case sensitive, a trailing space breaks them and the server URL needs the correct port. Copy and paste from the activation email instead of retyping.
Five to ten minutes on most devices — install the app, enter credentials, wait for the channel list and EPG. Smart TV sideloading and MAG portal setup take a little longer.
Yes, the same login works on any supported device, but a standard plan streams one device at a time. For simultaneous viewing see IPTV 5 connections.
